Upon completion of this course, students will be equipped with knowledge, skills, and attributes to:

  • Work with people with disability in a range of community services and health contexts
  • Assist with supporting people with disabilities in community participation and social inclusion using a person-centred approach.

This Skill Set applies to individuals working in health and direct client care context

No prerequisites units required.

This skill set is for individuals who hold a qualification at Certificate III level or higher in Community Services, Health or a related field, work in various care and support roles and wish to develop skills providing person-centred support to people with disability.

Assessment methods include:

  • Theory-based assessment.
  • Simulation-based assessment.
  • Professional Experience Placement.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

IHNA reserves the right to cancel/reschedule the intake if sufficient enrolment numbers are not there for the intake.

In the event of a cancellation or reschedule, full fee paid by the student will be refunded or the student can attend the rescheduled session.

Student can cancel the enrolment three days before the course start date and the full fee paid by the student will be refunded.

Fee is not refundable if the student withdraws from the course within two days of the course start date.

That is if the course is starting on 24th of the month, the student can cancel the course till 21st with full fee refund. Cancellations happening on 22nd and 23rd will not be eligible for fee refund.
